After studying in high school under the tutelage of Cheryl Copeland, Rae continued his education at USC Kaufman graduating with a BFA dance and an MFA in Legal Ethics. At USC, Rae studied under influential artists like William Forsythe, Jermaine Spivey, Bobbi Jene Smith, and Victor Quijada, while performing works by Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, and Jiri Kylian. Interested in the ways that dance can elicit positive change, Rae devoted his senior thesis to organizing a fundraising gala for Planned Parenthood, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic. Rae has recently joined Ballet BC as an Emerging Artist and he looks forward to cultivating a fruitful performing career with the company.
